Last month Patsy Dumas retired from First National Bank of Burleson after 23 years, although her banking career spanned 58 years, and her expansive service to the Burleson community began in 1957 when she and her husband first arrived with their son Larry and planted their roots in our community. We ran a brief article in the November issue congratulating Patsy on her retirement and the response of love and support has been overwhelming, and is further proof that she has touched so many people in our community over the years. Patsy wanted to find a way to reach as many of her well-wishers as possible, so here is her heartfelt thank you note to everyone who has showered her with support and love as she begins her next chapter in retirement.
“I wanted to find a way to reach as many people as possible, to offer a humble thank-you. When I first began my banking career and my service projects, I never would’ve dreamed that this is where it would’ve brought me. Of course, I want to extend a very special thank-you to the First National Bank of Burleson for making my 23-year tenure there so special, and to my incredible family who hosted a beautiful retirement party for me. I have been overwhelmed with the love, support, and well-wishes I’ve received as I enter retirement and I wanted to send out a sincere thank-you to those who have reached out, sent thoughtful gifts and kind words, and even just shared a hug as I begin this next chapter. Thank you so very much. I have loved serving this community and I look forward to continuing to do so in new capacities during retirement.”
