JM Wellness & Aesthetics has just celebrated its five-year anniversary, a milestone that feels both humbling and exhilarating for founder Dr. Misty Stasney, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, and her team. What began as Misty’s dream to create a place where wellness and beauty come together has grown into one of Burleson’s most trusted destinations for whole-body care. Over the years, the clinic has not only expanded its services but also touched countless lives through personalized, compassionate care.

Misty’s passion has always been helping people look and feel their absolute best—inside and out. With over 20 years of medical experience and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from TCU, she has worked across med-surg, cardiac, neuro, and emergency care while also serving as a clinical instructor for local colleges and universities. Known for building genuine relationships and truly listening to her clients, she has created an environment where care goes beyond procedures and treatments.

Her personal journey has made her mission even more authentic. Having lost 85 pounds by following the same strategies she recommends to patients, Misty doesn’t just talk about transformation—she lives it. That realness resonates deeply with her clients, who often say the best part of their experience is how genuinely cared for they feel from the moment they walk through the door.

From medical weight loss and hormone replacement therapy to IV hydration, peptide therapy, wellness consultations, injectables, skin rejuvenation, and facials, the clinic provides a comprehensive approach to health and beauty. For Misty and her team, the Burleson community has been the perfect place to plant roots and grow. “The community here is incredible,” she says. “People really support one another and believe in shopping local. Being part of that has been such a privilege.” That support has fueled the clinic’s growth and made milestones like celebrating their fifth year, expanding their team, and being featured on the cover of Local Life Magazine all the more meaningful.

Perhaps the most rewarding moments, though, come from the success stories that unfold in everyday practice. The clinic has been part of life-changing transformations, like helping three patients conceive after being told it wasn’t possible, guiding clients through incredible weight-loss journeys, and restoring vitality through hormone therapy. These stories are the heartbeat of JM Wellness & Aesthetics and a reminder of why the work matters so much.

Giving back has always been a cornerstone of Misty’s mission. From partnering with local charities, schools, and churches to sponsoring events and donating services, JM Wellness & Aesthetics stays deeply involved in the community. They’ve supported BISD, the Burleson Animal Shelter, the Burleson Police Department, Citizens on Patrol, Officer Sonic K9, Meals on Wheels, and sponsored events such as the upcoming event BTX Brewfest. Outside the clinic, a Blessing Box stands ready to help anyone in need of non-perishable items, a simple but powerful way of serving neighbors.

Misty has built a team that invests in advanced training and the latest technology, but equally important is the personal connection with each patient. They believe in quality over quantity, choosing only the safest and most effective products instead of cutting corners. Of course, the path to building a thriving business hasn’t been without its challenges. Misty is quick to point out that resilience, adaptability, and faith have carried them through. Every challenge has been a stepping stone. “Building a business takes hard work, adaptability, and faith,” she says. “Each obstacle has made us stronger. I truly believe we are walking in God’s path to serve His people.”

If there’s one message Misty hopes people take away, it’s that JM Wellness & Aesthetics is more than just a clinic. It’s a place where wellness and beauty come together, where every treatment plan is personalized, and where patients are cared for like family. “We walk this same journey ourselves,” she says. “We don’t recommend anything we wouldn’t do. We live it right alongside our clients.”

The team behind JM Wellness & Aesthetics reflects the same dedication and heart as its founder.

Dr. Misty Stasney, DNP, APRN, FNP-C — Owner, Certified Injector, and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of hospital and clinical experience. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from TCU and also serves as a longtime clinical instructor.

Dr. Amanda Akin, D.O. – Medical Director, Board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and certified injector with training from UNT, TCOM, and JPS in Fort Worth.

Jake Sanchez, FNP-BC, FNP-C, CCRN – Chief Nurse Practitioner and certified master injector specializing in anti-aging therapies. A TCU graduate with postgraduate studies at Angelo State, Jake is also a clinical instructor.

Sarah Grace, BSN, RN – TCU alumna who combines clinical expertise with a genuine heart for patient care.

Dakota Woody, RN, BSN – Specializes in IV therapy and vitamin injections, with prior experience in pediatric nursing at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Cook Children’s.

Brooke Gilbert, CCMA – Burleson resident, medical assistant, and phlebotomist with a bachelor’s in public health from UTA. Aspires to attend UT Southwestern Medical School.

Alondra Zamora, CMA – Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant with over 10 years of experience, Mission Arlington volunteer, and LVN-to-RN student.

Grace Haskins – Medical assistant and phlebotomist, biology student at TCC planning to transfer to UTA for Physician Assistant studies.

Delaina Sanchez – Certified professional coder and Office Manager with nearly 20 years of medical field experience.

Jamie Harrison – Assistant Office Manager, esthetician, and phlebotomist with a BBA from Tarleton State University.
