“If you have ever felt like you did not fit into traditional fitness spaces, this is where you belong. This is not about how you look. It is about how you feel, how you move, and how strong you can be at every stage of life.”
— Michel, Owner of HOTWORX Burleson
For Michel, owner of HOTWORX Burleson, this business has never been about chasing the latest trend. It is about longevity, intention, and care. With more than 35 years in the fitness industry and over five and a half years serving the Burleson community, she has witnessed nearly every fitness trend develop, succeed, disappear, and rebrand. That experience gives her something many do not have. Perspective. Michel has worked alongside pioneers in the fitness industry and continues to learn and grow with leaders who are shifting the way we think about health and movement. Fitness is evolving from a focus on how we look to how we move, how we feel, and how we live long healthy lives. That shift is not something she just believes in. It is something she lives and leads every day at HOTWORX Burleson.
HOTWORX Burleson has become a place for women who may feel like they no longer fit into traditional fitness spaces. If your body does not respond the way it once did, if you are navigating hormonal changes, fatigue, joint discomfort, or disrupted sleep, or if you simply want to move in a way that feels supportive rather than punishing, this is a space where you belong. What truly sets HOTWORX Burleson apart is its approach to wellness. While many businesses now offer infrared services, HOTWORX is the only studio that offers active infrared. This means members experience the combined benefits of intentional movement and infrared heat at the same time, bringing fitness and recovery together in one efficient session. Instead of choosing between a workout or recovery, you get both in a way that respects your time, your body, and your goals.
Sometimes the most powerful part of fitness is not the workout itself, but the feeling of belonging.
Community is one of the things Michel loves most about doing business in Burleson. As the city continues to grow and evolve, it has maintained its sense of connection and identity. For the past five years, HOTWORX Burleson has quietly supported nonprofit organizations throughout Burleson and Johnson County, as well as sponsored and supported local events and activities. Moving forward, that support will continue with an increased focus on providing educational opportunities through health and wellness events across the community. When asked about her greatest success, Michel does not point to awards or industry recognition, though she has earned many throughout her career. Instead, she speaks about longevity and impact. Her goal has always been to leave many small footprints for others to follow. Often those impacts happen quietly through personal conversations, shared knowledge, and moments of encouragement that ripple outward without recognition.
Building a business has reinforced important lessons along the way. Perseverance, consistency, and attention to detail are essential. No matter how strong a product or service is, it must continue to evolve, improve, and adapt. While many factors in small business are outside of our control, quality, integrity, friendliness, and transparency are not.
If there is one thing Michel wants people to know about HOTWORX Burleson, it is this. They care. Truly.
