Tim Southerland is a long-time banker and the current branch president of NBT Financial Bank’s Burleson, Texas, location. His branch’s motto is “Exceeding Expectations,” which his excellent staff achieves every day, by providing prompt and courteous service to all their customers. And while he has served as the Burleson branch president for only a short time, Tim is no stranger to the banking scene. After moving to Fort Worth in 1987, Tim fostered relationships with the owners and presidents of many local banks in Fort Worth and the surrounding communities. These relationships served as a launchpad for Tim’s career in banking in Johnson County. After 23 years at his former bank, Tim later retired for a brief time and then sprung back into action as the Burleson Branch President of NBT Financial Bank.

Tim believes in the effectiveness of banks whose leaders have deep roots in the community, as this allows said leaders to understand the economic and banking needs of those they serve. He takes pride in the fact that NBT Financial Bank’s ownership and leadership have remained almost unchanged since the bank’s inception fifty years ago.
