Dr. Nickell, a comprehensive Ophthalmologist, is excited to continue his career by serving patients in North Texas. He is committed to delivering top-notch eye care while optimizing the patient experience. Above all, he wants his patients to know that he cares!
A native of Aledo, Dr. Nickell graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. After graduating from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, he completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the esteemed Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Nickell married his high school sweetheart and has 3 beautiful children. He is active in his church and is passionate about missions, serving in Houston, Temple, Mexico, El Salvador, and Cambodia. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, soccer, running, board games, and outdoor activities.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Christian Ophthalmology Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
