Through it all, Brooke’s spirit remains unshaken. She carries herself with grace, faith, and determination. Her fight is not just her own—it is for her children, her family, and the many people who love her.
Brooke Carlile grew up in the West Texas town of Odessa but has called Burleson home for over 20 years. Deeply rooted in the community, Brooke has spent the better part of her adult life raising her three beautiful children—Kyson (19), River (12), and Creed (10)—with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. Whether she’s been cheering from the sidelines at sporting events, volunteering at citywide gatherings, or serving faithfully at Pathway Church, Brooke has always found joy and purpose in staying connected to the heartbeat of her town.
Over the past six years, Brooke has faced a series of personal trials and life-altering changes. From career shifts and navigating the ups and downs of single motherhood to processing immense grief following the tragic loss of her stepdaughter Raven, Brooke has leaned on her deep-rooted faith to weather every storm. Her resilience has been nothing short of inspiring to those who know and love her.
In January 2025, Brooke began experiencing sudden and unexplained symptoms—rapid weight loss, persistent pain, and ongoing fatigue. Despite multiple visits to doctors and specialists, the cause remained unclear for several months. Her journey included hospital stays, exploratory surgeries, and a long list of tests and scans. Finally, in May 2025, Brooke received the devastating diagnosis: Stage 2 pancreatic cancer.
The news came as a shock, not just to Brooke and her family, but also to her medical team. At just 40 years old and living an active lifestyle that included healthy eating, CrossFit training, and a commitment to wellness, Brooke didn’t fit the typical profile for this aggressive form of cancer. Yet, as her doctors often remind her, cancer doesn’t discriminate.
With courage and determination, Brooke began chemotherapy almost immediately after receiving her port and was discharged to recover at home in early June 2025. Her treatment plan is aggressive but hopeful, with what her medical team describes as “curative intent.” The goal is to complete 12 rounds of chemotherapy (as of now, she has completed 8), continue to gain strength through proper nutrition, and prepare for an intensive surgery known as the Whipple procedure. This major operation involves removing part of the pancreas and will be followed by an extended ICU stay and a long recovery process.
During this time, Brooke’s responsibilities as a mother have not lessened. Despite her illness, she remains devoted to her children’s needs and well-being. To receive the level of care required during treatment and recovery, Brooke and her children have moved in with her mother. Her mom has become a full-time caregiver and the family’s anchor during this difficult season.
Through it all, Brooke’s spirit remains unshaken. She carries herself with grace, faith, and determination. Her fight is not just her own—it is for her children, her family, and the many people who love her. With her head held high and hope firmly in her heart, Brooke is committed to moving forward, one day and one step at a time.
This journey is long, but her resolve is strong. And in true Brooke fashion, she continues to face each moment with grit, gratitude, and unyielding belief in a brighter tomorrow.
