There’s something about walking into Our Place Restaurant that just feels right. The hum of conversation, the smell of coffee, and the sight of familiar faces, it’s the kind of place where mornings start with laughter and weekends come with a side of patience for the line out the door. Open daily for breakfast and lunch, Our Place has become a cornerstone of Burleson life, earning regular recognition as Best Breakfast in Burleson and winning the hearts of locals for nearly four decades.

The story began in 1986, when the first Our Place opened in a small building now home to Sammy’s Pizza and Pasta. Owner Otto Arslanovski grew up in a restaurant family, learning early what it takes to build a place people love. After losing his mother to brain cancer, Otto’s father sold the family’s restaurants, but Otto wasn’t ready to let go. His passion for great food and genuine hospitality brought Our Place back to life in Burleson, first reopening at The Porch before moving to its current home in 2012. There, Otto and his team have created something timeless: a welcoming space where regulars feel like family and newcomers quickly become friends.

Otto’s hands-on approach is part of the magic. He’s often seen greeting guests, sharing stories, and ensuring everyone leaves full and smiling. That same spirit of connection has fueled his continued success with Gina’s Pizzeria in Old Town Burleson and Our Place Too in Crowley, which celebrated its one-year anniversary this year.

A Burleson favorite since 1971, Gina’s Pizzeria was originally founded by Gina Moseley and cherished for its authentic recipes and neighborhood charm. When Otto took over, he vowed to honor its legacy while breathing new life into the space. Located at 319 NW Renfro Street, Gina’s now combines nostalgia with modern warmth. The handcrafted bar, built from reclaimed wood from a historic Cleburne home, sets the tone for an interior filled with local history, music-themed art, and cozy, welcoming energy.

The menu is a delicious balance of old and new classic pizzas alongside creative favorites like the Dill-icious Pickle Pizza and BBQ Pizza. Longtime fans still crave the Gina’s Meat Salad, and newcomers quickly discover hearty sandwiches such as the Chicago-Style Italian Beef or Italian Sausage and Peppers. And of course, no visit is complete without a basket of those famous fluffy breadsticks.

For Otto, food is about connection. “Pizza is round for a reason,” he says. “It’s meant to be shared with people you love.” That philosophy extends beyond the plate; Wednesday karaoke nights and Sunday acoustic sets have turned Gina’s into a true gathering place, where the community comes to eat, laugh, and unwind.

Reflecting on the journey, Otto shares, “I grew up near a pizza place that lasted 50 years before it closed. When I found Gina’s, I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen here.”

With Otto’s passion leading the way, Our Place, Our Place Too, and Gina’s Pizzeria continue to thrive—serving up not just meals, but a legacy of warmth, tradition, and community that makes Burleson/Crowley feel like home.
