“Have the best day ever!” Any customer of Dwell Coffee & Biscuits has heard that phrase. Every customer is sent out of Dwell with that warm wish by one of the friendly staff members. Warmth is a one-word description of Dwell: their craft coffee, biscuits made from scratch, inviting environment and friendly employees.
Dwell was started in 2014 by husband and wife, Jeff and Stephanie Brannon. They recently celebrated their fourth birthday! Dwell opened in a tiny little house on Renfro, and quickly outgrew its first location. They moved to the heart of Old Town Burleson, doubling their space. They have a need for further expansion as they currently fill all of the seats in the house on a regular basis. Dwell is expanding to a second location in Fort Worth with a space opening right by TCU. They are taking a little local Burleson flavor to a neighboring city!
Burleson is more than just the location of their business. It is home for their family. They say the community is their favorite thing about Burleson. A sense of community is something they foster through Dwell. From the time it began, Dwell was designed to be a place where people feel welcome, could relax and relationships could be built. At the beginning they both agreed, their measure of success would be that they could take care of people whether it be the customer, their employees, or people just needing encouragement and support. They also give back to the community through organizing, hosting and sponsoring charity events. Their most recent event was a charity softball game against Fresco’s to raise money for The Center for ASD (and they won!). Not only did they raise money for a great organization, but they did so in a way that joined two locally loved restaurants and involved the community.
Jeff and Stephanie started Dwell as a leap of faith after other business ventures. They dream big and act on faith and encourage others as they do the same. Jeff and Stephanie enjoy the opportunities they have been afforded to listen to and encourage others in achieving their big dreams. Their faith is intertwined through all they do. The environment of Dwell that encourages community, the trust in God’s direction, how they lead their staff, their character and priority of family are all examples of that.
What sets Dwell apart from other coffee shops? One thing is their biscuits that are made from scratch every morning. They come in a variety of flavors, some staple and some seasonal and are also served as breakfast dishes. The products they use are fresh and some are unique to Dwell. The Dwell brand coffee is a signature blend sourced and roasted exclusively for Dwell. Beyond the product they serve, the environment and service is another factor that sets Dwell apart from other coffee shops. They strive for a unique and engaging customer experience.
The selection of drinks has enough of a variety to please a large customer base but it is specialized enough to offer only the best. There are both cold and hot beverages, with primarily coffee beverages but some beverages for the noncoffee drinkers. There is a regular menu and a seasonal menu along with some unique drinks thrown in for special occasions.
The Brannons write: Our mission has been and always will be to take care of people. To serve good coffee and scratch made biscuits and build relationships with people. They truly hope you have the best day ever.
