Our Place Restaurant

Our Place began has a little bit of everything and they do it ALL well. Whether you want to start the day with a breakfast like Grandma would make, eat a lunch of comfort food, or want a bite of pie that would put state fairs to shame, Our Place is your destination. You will be served with kindness and a full plate of home cooking. They make their dishes with fresh ingredients, with recipes that were created in their own kitchen. The menu is filled with Southern, down home favorites for breakfast and lunch.

Fresco’s Cocina Mexicana

Fresco’s has a well-deserved reputation as a local favorite for Tex Mex and margaritas. Their menu is a combination of traditional Mexican cuisine and Tex Mex dishes. They have the staples, such as enchiladas and tacos, but even those have a special flare. Beyond that, Fresco’s offers steaks and other dishes from the grill that are award winning. Be sure to start your meal with their tableside guacamole or queso. They have a full bar menu of cocktails, beer and liquor and are known for their margaritas. Here is a hint, there is a “secret menu” margarita and it is amazing! Don’t tell anyone I told you. They are open Tuesday- Thursday from 4:00- 9:00, Friday- Saturday from 11:00- 10:00 and Sundays from 11:00- 8:30. Fresco’s is located on South Main St in Old Town.

Old Texas Brewing Company

Old Texas Brewing Company has everything you could want: good food, cold drinks and live local music. The menu is diverse, with something for everyone, and it is all good. It offers the best of Texas cuisine, both with traditional dishes and others with a unique spin. The bar is always full thanks to the wide offering of spirits, cocktails and beer on tap. They always have an active calendar of the best local musicians, along with learning and creating opportunities. Lunch and dinner are served daily and a delicious brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. They have great happy hour specials every day! Old Texas is located in Old Town Burleson, on West Ellison Street. Just follow the music!

Spice Rack

At first glance, The Spice Rack may seem like a good place to grab a beer, shoot some pool, listen to some music and get your standard bar food. The first three are true, but the food is anything but standard and once you try it, you know. The flavors and quality of the food makes it stand out from other restaurants. The Spice Rack offers an outstanding chef created menu in a relaxed atmosphere that brings people together. They also have amazing live music with local musicians and great Happy Hour specials. Visit them on South Wilson St in Old Town Burleson every day for lunch or dinner.

Jamaican Summers

When you step into Jamaican Summers, you know you are somewhere special. The atmosphere is created immediately from the warm greetings, Reggae music in the background, bright colors and real Jamaican décor. Your journey continues as you savor the authentic Jamaican dishes that are cooked fresh daily. The menu is designed to bring the Jamaican taste to anyone, even those uncertain about stepping out of their comfort zone. Take a Jamaican excursion for lunch or dinner on Thursday and Friday from 12:00-8:00, Saturday from 1:00- 9:00 and Sunday from 2:00-8:00. It is at the corner of Renfro on your way into Old Town. You can’t miss it!

Moontower Pizza Bar

Moontower Pizza Bar literally offers something you can’t find anywhere else and they have a certificate from The Guinness Book of World Records to prove it! You can get the world’s largest commercially available pizza from Moontower, but on days where your appetite isn’t quite that large you can choose from a full menu of pizza and more. There are unique and delicious pizzas, salads, sandwiches and a selection of appetizers with an extensive bar. Join them for lunch or dinner, or at one of their fun events in Old Town at the corner of S Wilson and W Bufford.

Dwell Coffee and Biscuits

At Dwell, you will have “The best day ever!” Dwell sets itself apart with their biscuits made from scratch, specialty list of craft coffee and friendly service. In addition to their regular menu, Dwell offers a seasonal menu of biscuits and drinks. Their Burleson location is a warm and inviting spot at the corner of Ellison in the heart of Old Town. They are taking their local charm to Fort Worth in the recent expansion to a second location.

Café 1187

Tucked away between Burleson and Rendon on the south side of 1187 you’ll find this little gem that would make grandma proud. It’s a routine breakfast favorite for my kiddos and a quaint favorite of local workers at lunchtime. If it’s been a minute since you’ve enjoyed a real home-cooked meal then it’s time to head to Café 1187. You just flat out won’t be disappointed.

The Catch

The Catch is quickly becoming a local favorite for their variety of seafood offerings. Whether you like your seafood fried, blackened or grilled, in a taco or a po’boy, or with a side of hushpuppies, you can find your dish at The Catch. Oh and by the way, they have free (yes free!) beer and margaritas! They have a full menu of seafood offerings and all the Southern style sides and appetizers you could want for a delicious meal. The food is served hot and fresh in a relaxed environment. The Catch is on SW Wilshire in The Commons shopping center and open daily from 10:30- 9:00.

Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes

Mooyah is a unique and casual environment where you are treated with kindness from the moment you walk in. They offer mouthwatering burgers, fresh cut fries and the perfect shake to top it off. Everything is made to order and out of fresh ingredients. They can even take care of the customers wanting a healthier option, with delicious salads and low carb options for their burgers. Mooyah is off of I-35 between the McAlister and Rendon-Crowley exits and open daily from 11:00- 10:00.

Grumps

What makes Grumps shine is their simplicity. Its good food, a cold drink, friendly servers and a casual environment. The presentation isn’t fancy, but that isn’t important when you want to dig in to a good ole’ cheeseburger and fries (with their signature spicy ketchup). Rumor has it that the beer is among the coldest you can find in the area. Their casual environment and consistently delicious meals makes them favorite in the community. Grumps is on S Main in Old Town Burleson, and open Monday- Thursday from 11:00- 9:00 and Friday- Saturday from 11:00- 10:00.

Burleson Brunch House

Burleson Brunch House is new on the scene but have quickly gained a lot of fans in the area. Their atmosphere is casual and peaceful. They offer all the favorites for breakfast and lunch, with a special touch. Breakfast demands an appetite: The omelets are large and full of flavor. The crepes are delicate and sweet. The Texas Biscuits and Gravy are deserving to hold the name of a big and bold state. There is a great variety of lunch options that are filling and purposeful in their flavors. Go southwest down Wilshire Blvd to find Burleson Brunch House. They serve breakfast and lunch from 7:00 am- 3:00 pm daily.

The Hickory Tree Grill

The Hickory Tree features the very best of Texas flavors. The menu has familiar favorites alongside some unique dishes. They all are rich in flavor and feature delicious smoked meats. The spice of Tex Mex, the smoke of barbeque and the comfort of the south all come together to create the dishes offered at The Hickory Tree. They also feature a full bar with seasonal craft beers and great happy hour specials. The environment is a cozy and relaxed with a friendly staff. Visit the Hickory Tree on West Ellison in Burleson on Tuesday- Saturday for lunch or dinner.

Mirandas

Open since 1993, Miranda’s is the oldest running Mexican Food restaurant in Burleson and there’s a good reason. From their steaming fresh fajitas to other traditional Mexican cuisine, it’s easy to see they have spent years perfecting their flavor(s). Not to be overshadowed is their fully stocked bar with special cocktails we know you’ll love. Service is always quick and always friendly and it’s a wonderful spot to host your next event, as well. You’ll find Miranda’s on the East side of I-35N at 327 S. Burleson Blvd.

Antonios

Antonios has been a Burleson staple for years with a loyal group of customers. They offer a large menu of Tex Mex items, with quick and friendly service with a smile. They have a menu full of Tex Mex favorites that every town loves and the beer and margaritas to go with it. They are tucked into a shopping center at 344 SW Wilshire Blvd. They serve lunch and dinner on Sunday- Thursday from 11:00- 9:00 and Friday- Saturday from 11:00- 10:00.
