Our Place Restaurant is more than just a restaurant. It is a place where people from all backgrounds and walks of life can enjoy a delicious meal, a friendly atmosphere, and a sense of community. That is why they have won the awards for Best Breakfast, Best Patio, and Best Family Atmosphere in this year’s Local Favorite contest. Our Place has been serving the Burleson community since 1986, when Otto Arslanovski’s parents opened the first location. They have been through many ups and downs, but they have always stayed true to their vision of providing quality food and service to their customers. “We are Burleson’s original family restaurant, with our roots here reaching all the way back to 1986,” says Otto.
Our Place Restaurant is not only a successful business, but also a generous supporter of many local causes and organizations. They have donated to the Center for ASD, Harvest House, and One Safe Place, among others. One Safe Place is a program that helps victims of domestic violence escape and rebuild their lives. “I personally have multiple employees who have shared that they are alive and safe because of that program. How could I not be supportive of that cause?” Otto says. Our Place also sponsors the Burleson Police Department clay shooting team, which competes in events like “Bustin’ Clays for the Kids” at Centennial High School.
Our Place Restaurant is grateful for the support and loyalty of their customers, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. They have seen many acts of kindness and generosity from their patrons, such as paying for the meals of First Responders who dine at the restaurant. “During Covid, we were just so blessed by our customers. They are what kept us going. They would order to-go and then still take great care of the staff through their generous tips. We wouldn’t be able to support our staff or the causes that we do without our customers. We are so proud to be a part of this community.” Our Place has expanded to three locations in Burleson, Mansfield, and Cleburne, all of which are family owned and operated. They are open every day from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering a variety of breakfast and lunch options.
They have also recently acquired Gina’s Pizza, another long-time favorite of Burleson residents. Otto says he and his family have been fans of Gina’s since they moved to Texas in 1986. “We recently heard Gina’s was considering selling. Having been fans for so long it just made sense to invest and keep one of our favorite places around even longer.” Otto plans to add beer and wine as an option at Gina’s, which is currently closed for remodeling but should reopen soon. Keeping family in family business has always been their goal. Our Place invites you to come and experience their award-winning food, service, and ambiance for yourself.
