It’s been a long time coming. In 2008, when markets were crashing and he lost his job in finance at Lehman Brothers, TruClimate Heating + Cooling’s Will Cobb had no idea what the future would hold.

By chance, he met with Ron Hageman, a senior manager at Trane Technologies, who asked Will a fateful question: “Hey, have you ever thought about working in the air conditioning business?” This one question set his career in motion.

Flash-forwarding almost sixteen years, Will and Shellye Cobb are proud to announce the launch of their own HVAC/air conditioning company, TruClimate Heating & Cooling.

Will began his HVAC journey in sales with AirRite Air Conditioning, a company with a fifty-year history in DFW. A few years later, Will joined the team at AirClinic Air Conditioning and Heating in Arlington, where he served for over eight years as general manager. Most recently, Will held the position of Vice President of Sales and Service for Moss Heating and Cooling in Dallas, leaving in November to start TruClimate.

A Time for TruClimate Heating + Cooling HVAC

“I have worked for some great companies and with some great people,” Will says. “I am thankful for the experience I gained at each and for the part I played in the growth and success of those businesses, but I have always wanted my own company, and it’s time.”

TruClimate is a full-service residential and light-commercial HVAC company. Operating out of Burleson, Texas, they are building an experienced team of service technicians, installers, dispatchers, and customer service representatives. “For most of our lives, we have been in Burleson.” Will says. Shellye is an established hairdresser at The Ritz Salon & Spa, and all three of our children were raised here… I couldn’t be more excited to focus our HVAC business on the west side of the metroplex.”

The company provides diverse HVAC services, including expert installations, meticulous repairs, and proactive maintenance on all types and brands of equipment. Will attests, however, that what makes TruClimate different is the company’s dedication to creating positive and satisfying experiences for its clients.

“Our motto at TruClimate is, ‘Your Comfort is our Commitment’ and our mission statement is, ‘We Provide an Exceptional Client Experience,'” Will continues. “I strongly believe that, if we just continue to focus daily on these ideas, we can’t help but be successful.”

Bringing on his sister, Emily Cobb, as VP of Operations was the first step in creating TruClimate’s all-star team, claims Will. According to him,”The talent and experience she brings is critical. She oversees the Lowes program for us, where we are currently the exclusive install partner for eight area stores, including Lowe’s of Burleson, Cleburne, Granbury, and Weatherford. That’s a big part of our business.”

Each member of the TruClimate team, Emily explains, plays a significant role in making the company’s mission a reality.

She elaborates, “Every person on our team is important. From the customer service representative that takes the initial call, to the project manager that evaluates and outlines the project, to the installers and technicians that bring the project to reality, everyone along the way has an opportunity to enhance the client experience or detract from it. The ‘Exceptional Client Experience’ is not just a mission statement. It is something we strive to improve upon every day.”
