I’m not even going to lie… I love this issue. It’s pretty, it’s a little girly, and it just feels like May.
Mother’s Day can be a mix of emotions. For those of us who still miss our moms so deeply, there’s a quiet ache that never really goes away. I feel it too. But I do my best to honor my mom in the way I live, the way I love, and especially in the way I show up for my girls. I know she would be so proud of all three of us, and that gives me peace on the days that feel a little heavier.
This issue is also something really special for our community. We are featuring our Local Superlatives… the fun, the stylish, the “best of” moments like Best Hair and Best Dressed, all voted on by you. And for the first time, we’re also highlighting the business award winners from the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce. It truly is a “who’s who” of Burleson, and there is something powerful about seeing these names and faces in print. These are the people building, serving, and showing up for our community every single day.
As we move through May, we celebrate so much. Mother’s Day, graduations, and those final days before school is out… it’s a season full of transition, reflection, and excitement for what’s next.
